The Albania national football team was founded in 1930. The team played its first international match against Yugoslavia on October 7, 1930, which Albania lost 6-1. Albania has not yet qualified for the FIFA World Cup, but the team has participated in the UEFA European Championship on two occasions, in 2016 and 2020.
Recent Results
The Albania national football team recently competed in the 2024 UEFA European Championship. The team finished third in its group, behind Italy and Austria, and did not qualify for the knockout stages of the tournament.
